This afternoon, a woman who had fallen into the waters of the Riachuelo River at the height of Avenida General Paz, on the border of Villa Lugano, was rescued by City Firefighters personnel.
According to authorities who spoke to the Argentine News agency, the woman had psychiatric alterations and was assisted after a call from some neighbors who had spotted her in the middle of the riverbed.
Consequently, Firefighters personnel, in collaboration with the Federal Police, entered the water with neoprene equipment and aquatic rescue material, managing to secure her and bring her to the shore, where she was assisted by SAME paramedics.
The woman was finally taken to the Santojanni Hospital, located in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Mataderos, with a probable diagnosis of a psychotic episode.
